Sturgeon County lifts Fire Restriction

Sturgeon County is lifting its Fire Restriction effective August 26, 2021, at 1:00 pm. All fire permits that were issued previously that have not expired are re-instated.  Residents wishing to obtain a new fire permit can do so by applying online.

Please note that all requests received whether online, by phone, fax, and email will be processed in the order they are received.  Our goal is to review and approve all permit applications within two (2) business days.

Although the Fire Restriction has been lifted, residents are urged to follow burn permit conditions and use extreme caution, particularly when working or driving in grassy areas. Vehicle operators, including off-highway vehicles, should be mindful of hot exhaust and keep vehicles clean and free of debris as smoldering debris can fall off and start fires.

Note: The lifting of the restriction also applies within the Town limits of Bon Accord, Legal and Redwater.
